Jiangyin Ruihesheng Paper Products Co., Ltd. is a PAPER LID manufacturer based in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, producing food-grade paper lids alongside paper cups, bowls, trays, boxes and dining accessories. We have manufactured eco-friendly paper packaging since 2004, and our lid range covers the 98, 115 and 142 formats used across hot beverage, soup, noodle and takeaway service. Every lid we quote is built around a defined cup rim, a defined serving temperature and a defined print requirement.
Our Paper Lid Range
Paper lids are supplied as a standalone item or as part of a matched cup-and-lid set. The three formats below cover the diameters most commonly requested by beverage chains, catering distributors and private-label brand owners, and each can be produced in kraft or white board with the rim geometry adjusted to the customer's cup.
| Lid format | Design focus | Typical service | Configuration options |
|---|---|---|---|
| 98 Environmental friendly thick Paper Lid | Thick-wall board for a firm rim and a clean edge finish | Hot drinks, soups and small takeaway cups | Kraft or white board, single or multi-colour print, sip-hole or closed top |
| 115 Strong adaptability Stress resistance Paper Lid | Stress-resistant structure for repeated handling and stacking | Medium-diameter cups and wide bowls | Adjusted rim tolerance, embossing, logo print, bulk or sleeve packing |
| 142 Recyclable Leakage prevention Paper Lid | Leak-prevention geometry for liquid and semi-liquid contents | Wide cups, soup and noodle containers | Recyclable board, barrier coating selection, vented or sealed top |
Application Fit Across Foodservice Formats
Lid selection follows the container it closes. We match the lid to the cup or bowl diameter, the fill level and the way the product travels, so the lid stays seated through counter service, carrier transport and delivery handling.
- Hot beverage service: firm rim contact and a stable sip opening, with board chosen to resist softening from steam.
- Soups and noodle bowls: wider lid geometry and barrier options where liquid movement during transport is the main risk.
- Takeaway and delivery: lids that hold under stacking pressure inside carriers and bags.
- Matched sets: lids produced against the same cup drawing as our PAPER BOWL AND CUP range, so fit is confirmed before either item is tooled.
- Mixed-material programmes: where a clear top is required, our PLASTIC LID range can be quoted alongside the paper version for the same cup.
Materials, Coatings and End-of-Life Options
Our paper lids are produced from FSC certified paperboard and post-consumer recycled pulp, with plastic-free coating routes available for brands moving away from PE and PLA linings. Barrier performance is achieved through coating and rim geometry rather than a plastic film, and we support algae barrier technology where a higher liquid hold is needed.
- Plant-based and water-based inks for print applied by flexographic or UV presses.
- Biodegradable labels and adhesives for packed and sleeved lids.
- Industrial composting certification held through TÜV, supporting compostable claims on the finished lid.
- Kraft, white and coated board surfaces, each with a different print response and surface friction.
Critical Specifications We Confirm Before Tooling
A paper lid is a fit-critical component. The parameters below are agreed in writing before a die is cut, and each one is re-checked on the first article and on finished goods.
| Parameter | What we confirm | Effect on the finished lid |
|---|---|---|
| Rim diameter and fit | Measured against the customer's cup rim, with a sample fit check before mass production | Grip, lid retention and clean release |
| Board caliper and grammage | Selected for the lid diameter and the weight of the contents | Rim stiffness, stack height and resistance to softening |
| Lid height and stack profile | Set to the fill line and to the dispenser or carrier in use | Nesting, transport density and cup stability |
| Leak and heat retention | Checked on filled cups at the intended serving temperature | Barrier choice and rim sealing geometry |
| Print and surface finish | Flexographic or UV print, spot or four-colour, plus optional hot stamping, embossing, partial UV or laminating | Brand presentation and surface friction |
| Packing format | Sleeve, carton or bulk count per carton | Counter handling and warehouse storage |
Printing and Brand Surface Options
Lids carry brand identity at the point of consumption, so print is treated as a production variable rather than an afterthought. We run flexographic and UV printing lines with single-sided or double-sided coverage, spot colour and four-colour work, and we complete surface effects in-house through hot stamping, partial UV, embossing and laminating. Free structural design and rendering support is available before sampling, and artwork is proofed against the actual board surface because kraft and coated stocks take ink differently.
Production Flow and Quality Control
Our factory in Wuxi operates a 15,000 m² production base with more than 100 automated machines and an annual capacity in the billions of pieces. Lid production follows the same controlled sequence as the rest of our tableware: raw material procurement, incoming material inspection, paper cutting, die-cutting and forming, printing, die-cutting and moulding, bonding and assembly, finished goods inspection, packaging, then warehousing and logistics.
Finished goods inspection covers dimensions, rim strength and print quality against the approved sample. Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSC and BRC, with additional accreditations including SGS, SABER, SYDEX, IAF and CNAS. Certificates and batch records are issued with the order documentation so incoming goods can be accepted against a defined reference.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A quotation that can be produced without rework starts from a short, specific brief. The following inputs let us fix the die, board grade, print method and packing format in one pass.
- Cup or bowl rim diameter, plus a physical sample or drawing where available.
- Serving temperature and content type — hot beverage, soup, noodle, semi-liquid or dry.
- Required lid format (98, 115, 142 or a new diameter) and whether a sip hole, vent or closed top is needed.
- Board preference: kraft, white, recycled content or a specific barrier requirement.
- Artwork files, colour references and any surface finish such as hot stamping or embossing.
- Target order quantity, repeat schedule and packing format for the counter and the warehouse.
- Destination market and any labelling or documentation requirements attached to the shipment.
Lids are quoted together with the rest of our DINING ACCESSORIES range — box covers, bags and closures — so a single programme can be tooled, sampled and delivered as one matched set.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which cup sizes do your paper lids fit?
We produce the 98, 115 and 142 lid formats, which cover the diameters most often requested for beverage, soup and noodle service. Final fit is confirmed by sampling against your own cup rim, because wall thickness and rim roll vary between cup suppliers.
Can the lids be printed with our logo and brand colours?
Yes. Flexographic and UV printing are both available, in spot colour or four-colour, with optional hot stamping, partial UV, embossing and laminating. We provide structural design and rendering support and produce a printed sample for approval before mass production.
Are your paper lids recyclable or compostable?
We work with FSC certified paperboard and post-consumer recycled pulp, and offer plastic-free coating routes instead of PE or PLA linings, including algae barrier technology. Plant-based inks, biodegradable labels and adhesives are used where the specification calls for them, and our industrial composting certification is held through TÜV.
How do you control quality on a lid order?
Incoming board and ink are inspected before release to production. Lids are then die-cut, formed, printed and assembled on automated lines, and finished goods are checked for dimensions, rim strength and print quality against the approved sample. Our systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSC and BRC.
Do you supply matching cups, bowls and containers?
We do. Paper cups, bowls, trays, clamshell boxes and special-shape boxes are produced in the same facility, which means a lid and its container can be developed as one matched set with a single fit approval.
What do you need from us to prepare a quotation?
Send the cup rim diameter or a sample, the serving temperature and content type, the lid format and top style, board preference, artwork, target quantity and packing format. With those inputs we can confirm the die, board grade, print method and delivery scope in a single proposal.
