Jiangyin Ruihesheng Paper Products Co., Ltd. manufactures special shape paper boxes — die-cut, folded and glued food packaging built to a brand's own geometry rather than to a standard carton. From our Wuxi, Jiangsu production base we have supplied paper-based food packaging since 2004, and this range covers the structures that sit outside our clamshell, tray and bowl lines: pizza boxes, sandwich boxes, french fries boxes and gable boxes, plus fully custom shapes developed from a drawing or a physical sample.
We work as an OEM/ODM SPECIAL SHAPE PAPER BOX manufacturer, carrying a structure from concept sketch and die layout through print proof, sampling and mass production on the same equipment.
Our Special Shape Paper Box Range
Every structure in this family is built around a serving format, a filling weight and a service channel — delivery, drive-thru, counter service or retail shelf. Board grade, die geometry and print method are selected together, because a shape that folds cleanly in 300 gsm paperboard behaves differently in E-flute corrugated.
| Structure | Form and closure | Typical food applications | Functional focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paper Pizza Box | Flat-packed corrugated box, tuck-in lid, double-layer base | Whole pizzas, calzone, flatbreads, sharing platters | Heat retention, ventilation against sogginess, stacking strength |
| Paper Sandwich Box | Folded wedge or sleeve with locking tabs | Sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, pastries | Rigid walls, grease resistance, clean presentation |
| French Fries Box | Open-top scoop with vent slits, straight or tapered | Fries, onion rings, chicken bites, snack portions | Oil resistance, one-hand handling, ventilation |
| Paper Gable Box | Gable top with folded carry handle, tape-free reclosure | Meal deals, bakery, party boxes, promotional sets | Handle strength, crease quality, premium finish |
| Custom structural development | Any die-cut geometry from drawing or sample | Brand-specific meal kits, promotional and gift packs | Fit to product, assembly time, pallet efficiency |
Where Each Structure Fits
Paper Pizza Box
Our PAPER PIZZA BOX uses a double-layer corrugated base and a tuck-in lid. The double wall holds heat on the journey and gives the box enough stacking strength for a loaded delivery bag, while ventilation channels let steam escape so the base stays crisp. Sizes follow pizza diameter and the number of boxes that must fit a bag or a shelf.
Paper Sandwich Box
A folded paperboard wedge or sleeve with locking tabs, sized to the sandwich footprint instead of a generic carton. Rigid side walls keep the contents upright and a grease-resistant inner surface protects the board over a normal holding period. The flat top panel carries the main branding for cafes, delis and grab-and-go counters.
French Fries Box
The FRENCH FRIES BOX is an open-top scoop with vent slits and a tapered or straight profile. Oil-resistant board keeps the walls from softening under hot, salted food, and the open top allows one-handed snacking. We size the scoop to portion weight and to the holder or tray it will sit in.
Paper Gable Box
The PAPER GABLE BOX is a carry box with a folded handle and a gable top that closes without tape. It suits meal deals, bakery items, party boxes and promotional sets where the pack has to be carried and re-closed. Handle strength and crease quality at the gable are the two structural points we control most closely.
Board, Barrier and Food-Contact Materials
- FSC-certified paper and board as the base material, with virgin and post-consumer recycled pulp grades available.
- E-flute and micro-flute corrugated for pizza boxes and heavier filled loads; solid paperboard for wedges, scoops and gable boxes.
- Plastic-free barrier configurations using algae coating technology, without PE or PLA lamination.
- Plant-based inks, biodegradable labels and adhesives across the range.
- TÜV-certified industrial composting on qualifying structures, supported by our participation in the European Industrial Composting Network.
Structural Engineering and Die-Cutting
Special shapes live or die on the die. We build the cutting and creasing layout from the filled product, not from a nominal dimension, so the assembled box holds its form after the food is loaded and through the delivery cycle.
- Die-cutting and forming establish the basic structure before printing.
- A second die-cutting and moulding stage converts the printed sheet into the final shape.
- Auto-gluing and folding assemble the box; glue tabs are positioned for machine assembly and for the customer's own packing line.
- Ventilation slits, locking tabs, grease barriers and handle reinforcement are designed into the die rather than added afterwards.
Printing, Branding and Surface Finishing
Flexographic and UV printing lines handle single-sided or double-sided decoration in spot colour or four-colour work, using water-based ink. Hot stamping, partial UV, embossing and laminating are available for premium gable boxes and promotional structures. Artwork is proofed against the actual die layout before plates are made, so panel breaks, glue flaps and vent positions do not cut through logos or mandatory labelling.
Capacity, Quality Control and Acceptance
Production runs on a 15,000 m² facility on more than 30 mu of land, with over 100 automated machines and an annual capacity reaching several billion units. The process follows ten controlled stages: raw material procurement, incoming material inspection, paper cutting, die-cutting and forming, printing, die-cutting and moulding, bonding and assembly, finished-goods inspection, packaging, then warehousing and logistics.
Finished-goods inspection checks dimensions, strength and print quality against the approved sample. Our management systems are certified to ISO9001, ISO22000, FSC, BRC and SGS, with additional accreditations including SABER, SYDEX, IAF and CNAS. Products ship to the USA, France, Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other markets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a special shape paper box different from a standard food box?
The die. A standard carton is cut from an existing tool, while a special shape is engineered around your product's footprint, fill weight and service channel. That means custom crease lines, locking tabs, vent positions and handle reinforcement, all developed before printing plates are produced.
Can you produce a box from our own drawing or an existing sample?
Yes. We work from a dimensional drawing, a physical sample or a filled product, and return a structural proposal with a die layout and a sample for approval before mass production. This is the same OEM/ODM route we use for pizza, sandwich, fries and gable box programmes.
Which board and coating options suit greasy or hot foods?
Grease-resistant paperboard is standard for sandwich and fries structures, with corrugated E-flute for pizza boxes. Where a plastic-free pack is required, we use algae-based barrier coating instead of PE or PLA lamination, and qualifying structures are certified for industrial composting.
How do you keep print and dimensions consistent between batches?
Incoming material is inspected against production standards, and finished goods are checked for dimensions, strength and print quality against the approved sample. The ten-stage process from paper cutting through die-cutting, assembly and packing is documented so a repeat order runs to the same specification.
What is the minimum information needed for a quotation?
Product dimensions and fill weight, food type and serving temperature, artwork status, required surface finish, packing and pallet requirements, and the destination market. With those inputs we can confirm board grade, structure, print method and packing scope.
Do you supply only special shape boxes or the wider packaging programme?
Both. Special shape boxes are one part of our food packaging range, alongside clamshell boxes, heavy duty boxes, paper food trays, paper bowls and cups, and dining accessories. Brands that need a coordinated programme can have all structures produced to the same material and print specification.
